The Successful Candidate
- Minimum one year of experience in an optical environment
- Being clear, compelling and professional in educating patients on frames and eye health
- Committed to excelling as a member of a high-performing team
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Good computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Previous customer-facing retail experience is an asset.

Dispensing Optician
We are looking for a licensed Dispensing Optician to join our team! As a Dispensing Optician on the team, you will be helping patients to find their eyewear to meet their needs. A Dispensing Optician will be responsible in recommending eyewear, measuring and fitting the eyewear, and educating on proper care of their new eyewear. The ideal candidate stays up to date on the latest advancements in lenses and frames, has strong communication and interpersonal skills, and works well within a team environment. The Successful Candidate
- Valid Dispensing Optician license in Alberta
- Licensed to practice Optometry in the Province of Alberta
- Knowledge of current Optometric technology and practices
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Exceptional customer service and salesmanship for patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate prescriptions from optometrists and ophthalmologists to meet the patient’s needs.
- Ensure that there is a sufficient level of inventory for frames and lenses.
- Able to sell a wide variety of eyewear, including frames and sunglasses.
- Perform measurements, repairs and adjustments to patients’ eyewear and lenses with the use of specialized equipment for a comfortable fit for the patient.
- Assist in additional daily office tasks such as the patients’ insurance, patients’ prescriptions, and patients’ records.

We are seeking a licensed Optometrist to join our team! As an Optometrist on the team, you will be meeting with new and existing patients, reviewing their assessment results, and talking to them to learn about their current concerns and issues. You will also perform a comprehensive eye exam to detect any abnormalities, prescribe and fit the appropriate lenses, and diagnose eye conditions. The ideal candidate stays up to date on the latest advancements in optometry, has strong communication and interpersonal skills, and works well within a team environment
The Successful Candidate
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry program
- Licensed to practice Optometry in the Province of Alberta
- Knowledge of current Optometric technology and practices
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Committed to excelling as a member of a high-performing team
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Good computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat ocular diseases, including issues such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and cataracts.
- Provide high-quality optometric care and services to your patients.
- Prescribe and fit eyeglasses and contact lenses onto patients for vision correction.
- Prescribe treatment options for any vision issues and request a follow-up visit if needed.
- Educate patients on ocular health and visual hygiene.
- Refer patients to ophthalmologists or other medical specialists.
